Enhanced First Offender Program AB762
This program meets the requirements for the conviction of a first offense driving under the influence. The program is a total of 45 hours combining alcohol and drug assessment, alcohol and drug education, process groups and individual interviews. Originally created for the high alcohol .20 arrests several years ago, the 6 month program has been replaced by the 9 month first offender program in California.
The program is currently offered for the following cases:
Originally sentenced as a six month first offender and never completed the program.
Some counties in California use a graduated method for assigning first offender programs.
The six month program today is sometimes ordered for those arrested at .15 to .19 alcohol level.
Required Sessions
6 Month Program (45 hours):
• Education Class - a combination of lecture and film (six classes, two hours each)
• Group Session - meet once a week (16 sessions, two hours each)
• Individual interviews - held at beginning, midpoints, and end of program
(four meetings, 15 minutes each)

The following situations may be on record with the DMV which may conflict with the court order.
- Out of State DUI's
- DUI programs not completed for arrests within ten years of the current violation date.
- DUI’s not yet sentenced.
- Please verify with the California DMV the exact program completion required for reinstatement of your driving privileges.
